Sliding Glass Impact Doors

The sliding glass door is the signature opening of a Florida home. It connects your living space to the lanai, pool deck, and backyard — and it is also the single largest vulnerability in your building envelope. Our impact sliding doors handle spans up to 16 feet, roll effortlessly on precision tandem rollers, and meet the same missile impact standards as every window we install.

2-panel, 3-panel, and 4-panel configurations up to 16+ feet wide

Heavy-duty aluminum frames with stainless steel tandem rollers for smooth operation

Multi-point locking hardware engages at the top, bottom, and midpoint

Low-E and tinted glass options to cut heat gain and glare

Sliding screen panel included with most configurations

French & Entry Impact Doors

Your front door makes a first impression. Your French doors set the tone for your patio or lanai. Impact-rated versions give you the same design flexibility as standard doors — decorative glass, sidelites, transoms, and premium hardware — backed by the strength to stop a Category 5 hurricane and resist forced entry around the clock.

In-swing and out-swing French door configurations with concealed multi-point locks

Decorative impact glass inserts, sidelites, and transoms for a custom entryway

Fiberglass, steel, and wood-grain finish options for front entry doors

Optional colonial, prairie, and custom grid patterns between the glass layers

Commercial-grade hinges and closers rated for high-traffic openings

Other door types we install

Full Lite Doors

Maximum glass from top to bottom for unobstructed views. Perfect for pool areas and patios where natural light is the priority.

Half Lite Doors

Impact glass in the upper half, solid panel below. Provides daylight and visibility with added privacy. A popular choice for side entries.

Casement Doors

Hinged impact doors that crank open outward. Ideal for smaller openings, utility rooms, and areas where a sliding track is not practical.

Double Entry Doors

Paired impact doors that create a grand entrance. Available with decorative glass, sidelites, and custom hardware to match your home's style.

Decorative Glass Doors

Impact-rated doors with decorative glass inserts — etched, textured, and tinted options that add character without sacrificing storm protection.

Sidelights & Transoms

Fixed impact glass panels that frame your entry door. Add natural light and architectural detail to your front entrance.

Impact Door FAQ

Can I replace just my sliding glass door without doing all the windows?

Yes. Many homeowners start with their sliding glass doors because they are the largest and most vulnerable opening. Keep in mind that to qualify for the full wind mitigation insurance discount, all openings need to be protected — but there is no rule that says you have to do everything at once.

How secure are impact doors compared to standard doors?

Significantly more secure. The laminated glass resists sustained attack — it will not shatter like standard or tempered glass. Combined with multi-point locking hardware that engages at the top, middle, and bottom of the frame, impact doors are one of the best deterrents against break-ins.

What is the widest sliding glass door you can install?

Standard impact sliding glass doors come in widths up to about 12 feet for 2-panel units and 16+ feet for 3-panel and 4-panel configurations. Custom sizes are available from most manufacturers we carry.

Do impact doors come with screens?

Most impact sliding glass doors include a sliding screen panel. French doors and entry doors can be fitted with retractable or hinged screen options depending on the manufacturer and configuration.
