Impact Doors
Hurricane Impact Doors for Florida Homes & Businesses
Your doors are the largest openings in your home — and the most vulnerable during a hurricane. BNT installs Miami-Dade approved impact doors that stand up to Category 5 winds, resist forced entry, and look great doing it.

Impact Door FAQ
Can I replace just my sliding glass door without doing all the windows?
Yes. Many homeowners start with their sliding glass doors because they are the largest and most vulnerable opening. Keep in mind that to qualify for the full wind mitigation insurance discount, all openings need to be protected — but there is no rule that says you have to do everything at once.
How secure are impact doors compared to standard doors?
Significantly more secure. The laminated glass resists sustained attack — it will not shatter like standard or tempered glass. Combined with multi-point locking hardware that engages at the top, middle, and bottom of the frame, impact doors are one of the best deterrents against break-ins.
What is the widest sliding glass door you can install?
Standard impact sliding glass doors come in widths up to about 12 feet for 2-panel units and 16+ feet for 3-panel and 4-panel configurations. Custom sizes are available from most manufacturers we carry.
Do impact doors come with screens?
Most impact sliding glass doors include a sliding screen panel. French doors and entry doors can be fitted with retractable or hinged screen options depending on the manufacturer and configuration.
